Many companies develop leaders to prepare them for future roles and build a leadership pipeline. Our client wanted to change the mindsets of their leaders and transform their organisation at the same time. They leveraged our Leader Execelerator Action Programme (LEAP) to deliver results and shift the thinking of their leaders.
Approach
Our commodity client had undergone much change and lost many of its senior leaders, leaving it with no leadership bench strength. As a business, they needed leaders who could accelerate productivity and look for new markets for the products.
To address these needs, they leveraged LEAP, which included:
Strategic Projects
Teams in the programme worked on strategic projects that delivered step-change productivity or revenue over 10-12 months.
Strategy and Leader Workshops
Leaders participated in 4 workshops that developed their capabilities and helped them drive strategic projects forward.
Leadership Journey
Each leader also changed how they led others, undergoing their own transformational journey.
Executive Coaching and Assessment
Leaders received executive level assessment and coaching to support their development journeys.
Results
Our client implemented 3 LEAP programmes over three years with over 60 leaders. The business and leaders achieved significant results:
Delivered 13 Strategic Projects. One project resulted in $8M in new international sales, another resulted in turning a waste product into a new revenue stream.
95% of LEAP leaders retained. Turnover of LEAP participants was much lower than their counterparts at similar levels.
Expanded Roles. Within 12 months, 51% of leaders were moved into bigger roles and 29% of leaders were promoted.
